IST recitals 2008
All recitals take place on Sundays at 1:15 pm at Morphy Recital Hall, which is located at theUW School of Music455 N. Park St.
Madison, WI 53706
Teachers, if you would like your student to play in one of the recitals, please contact Miriam Schneider (miriam521@yahoo.com) and submit: student's name, musical piece, aproximate length of the piece and name of accompanist. (Please, read Miriam's letter below for more details.)
Encourage your students to come to the recitals. Recitals not only give us an opportunity to perform, but a way to share our own learning and teaching experiences.

Here are some thoughts I have had which might be helpful for those of you who have not yet taken advantage of this great opportunity for your students.
Before sending a student to a recital for the first time , members of IST are strongly encouraged to attend a recital to check out what we do. Bringing the student might also be a good idea. The public is invited. We like an audience.
If you are a member of IST you will receive the dates for the next semester beginning of Sep. 07.
Our starting time has been 1.30p with arrival from 12.30p. Recitals last about 1hr. – 1 and 1ž2 hrs.
Sign up is by e – mail to me: <mailto:miriamschndr@aol.com> or whoever is in charge. It is best if you sign up early in the week before the Sunday. It can be earlier. Check with me if you are late because there might be room – but don’t count on it !
Students are “signed up” when I have all details per e- mail , and only then I shall confirm.
Details are :
Name of student, piece to be played , approx. length of it , name of accompanist, if any.
We welcome trios,duets,quartets as well as solos and small groups.
